The sump pump pros questions

The most common cause for sump pump failure is an electrical power outage.  To prevent this, install a battery backup sump pump system that would be activated if the electrical power fails.

Most sump pumps last 5 to 7 years. This mostly depends on frequency of use, the quality of the pump and quality of the power source.

The most common reason is the sump pump float switch is stuck in the “on” position. Check your floats and call our office if service is needed.

The sump pumps installed by us are warranted by the manufacturer for 3 years from the installation date.

The standard sump basin is 26 gallons and is 18 inches in diameter and 22 inches deep.

Yes. A check valve is a one-way valve that is installed in the discharge pipe of your sump pump.

When the pump stops running, the check valve will not let water flow by gravity back into the sump basin.
